Calm Connection Counseling is a solo, privately owned therapy practice, and I am committed to protecting the privacy of my customers/clients. This Privacy Policy outlines how I collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information, including phone number.

During the onboarding process, your basic contact data will be gathered, including phone number.
Method of Information Collection:
I will collect your contact data only when you voluntarily provide it to me during initial intake, through secure and detailed documents within my client portal. Your contact data may also be voluntarily provided during subsequent periodic updates of information. These will be done either verbally or through secure documents within my client portal.
Purpose of Data Collection:
Your contact data, including phone number, will only be used for personalized, brief, routine communications that relate to scheduling, appointment/billing reminders, and specific client requests. I will never use your data for marketing, promotions, or mass SMS messaging of any kind.
Data Security Measures:
I implement reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes complying with HIPAA regulations and use of a firewall and encryption.
Data Sharing:
Your contact data will not be shared with third parties under any circumstances, unless specifically requested and authorized by you.
User Rights:
You as the client have the right to access, update, or delete your stored contact data at any time. Additionally, if you choose at any point to engage in SMS messaging for the business purposes listed above, you have the right to opt out at any time by replying "STOP" to any message received, or making a verbal request.
